A successful chiropractic practice with clinics in Hertfordshire and North London is hoping to increase its business by 25% in the next 3 months with the help of its new website.

Dr Chris Pickard of The Pain Relief Centres takes up the story: ‘I wanted my new website to fulfil two objectives: to attract new patients to the practice and to provide an information resource for existing clients. My previous website didn’t perform well on search engines, where competition is fierce; also, making changes to the site was both time-consuming and costly as I was relying on a third party to make amendments. I was disappointed, but pragmatic – it was a marketing investment which hadn’t paid off.’

Chris continues: ‘I then met Robert Umpleby of IRUN Business Intelligence, specialists in internet marketing strategies, and soon realised that a strong internet presence was essential to grow my practice. After some research and a comprehensive meeting, a plan for a new website was drawn up. It was to be 4 times larger than the old one, contain over 40 pages, 2 separate download areas (one of which was to be password protected) and a newsletter sign-up facility. Robert saw opportunities and ideas I had never thought of and after spending many late nights working on the content, the new site was completed in only 19 days! This was simply amazing as my old 12-page site had taken 3 months to complete.’

Robert Umpleby comments: ‘Once the site went live it was very quickly indexed by Google and has already achieved a high ranking. Optimisation work is still in progress to ensure The Pain Relief Centre’s website out-performs its competitors.’

Dr Pickard adds: ‘I asked some of my patients to review the site, with very positive results. One usually critical patient even commented on how much easier it was to get around the new site and it made him feel ‘part of the team’. I also love the fact I can make changes and additions to the site myself whenever I want to. I am thoroughly impressed.’
